And anyone who chooses a New England Patriot, past or present, player gets MHO instantly (lmao jk, just letting my bias show here).
So who is it for you?
hmm, difficult...
my "true favorite athlete" would be Paolo Maldini as I literally wanted to play like him, and actually made it a point to actually play as he would, and all the good I ever was in soccer, was because of that, lol... so, that does say a lot, as for "favorite"
but then, there's also Brady... I think I've watched and re-watched and then, watched again more Patriots games than anything else... from every angle, every perspective and every microphone and interview out there
my favorite sport to watch as a sport, has always been football and of course... a lot, if not most of the best games in the last decades have involved the Patriots, and Brady was always the denominator and also the difference at the same time
however... I love football soccer, and that is LOVE, and so... my favorite moment in sports was the World Cup soccer final between France and Argentina
that one, all of it... and all of the history and the stories behind it... it all seemed scripted and to me, it was just "perfect"
i'm a philly guy so i'm duty bound to detest all sports out of boston/new england. but i respec the hell out of tom brady for his accomplishments
favorite athletes? Steven Gerrard, Leo Messi, Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Roy Halladay, Carlo Ruiz, Chase Utley, Saquan Barkley, Randall Cunningham... and dozens more.
no true fave though
Fair enough but on the plus side, you actually won your most recent super bowl. We got embarrassed so you have that going for you lmao
only took 52 years but finally we got a super bowl. it's been a nice period though. 3 appearances and two titles in 8 years. haha almost makes up for the first 52 years
The Lions have never been in a Super Bowl. For obvious reasons, Jackie Robinson is my favourite athlete apart from my three cousins in the NFL , MLB and College Football Hall Of Fame and the one who played for the Golden State Warriors.
I've enumerated my favorite female & male athletes in their respective sports that I often follow.
Golf: Annika Sorenstam & Tiger Woods
Tennis: Serena Williams & Roger Federer
Swimming: Katy Ledecky & Michael Phelps
Basketball: Caitlin Clark & Michael Jordon
Motorsports: Michele Mouton & Michael Schumacher
Soccer: Mia Hamm & Pele
Figure Skating: Katarina Witt & Scott Hamilton
Beach Volleyball: Kerri Walsh Jennings & Karch Kiraly
Marathon: Joan Benoit & Eliud Kipchoge
Track Sprint: Florence Griffith-Joyner & Usain Bolt
American Football: Linda Jefferson & Joe Montana
Boxing: Laila Ali & Manny Pacquiao
I don't know why the spacing turned out the way it did above.
So, please just excuse the error (s). :)
Tom Brady! 🏈
Thatta girl!
🥳
The Gronk is the better athlete.
Ty for the MHO! And just wait! The Pats will WIN the Superbowl next year! Go Pats! 🏈
Mine’s Serena Williams, without hesitation 🎾
As a tennis girl, I’ve always admired her power, mental toughness, and longevity. She changed how women’s tennis is played and perceived. Her serves, her movement under pressure, her comebacks after injuries and pregnancy, all of it is insanely inspiring.
Runner-up for me would be Roger Federer for pure elegance on court 😍

My favourite sports star is Jay's baseball player Vladimir Guerrero.
But I will do anything for a MHO.
I'm the Detroit Tigers biggest fan 🤣
Not really just winding you up 🙂
I like all sports, and I'm a cyclist so I should say Tadej Pogacar he's been dominant in cycling for the past few years.
But I'm going to say Alysa Liu, the figure skating Olympic Gold Medalist.
All the skaters last night in the Olympics were amazing, but when I saw her skate I thought that had been the Gold Medal performance.
Joe Montana. And I have to give credit to the people on his team - lots of credit. They worked so well together. Montana was sooo good at the two minute drill, like no other. With Montana, the game was never over until it was over. In sports, the best games are the close ones that could go either way. With Montana, come-back-from-behind was almost always possible. That made for a good game.
Second place is Mohamed Ali. Trash talker extraordinaire, but he could back it up.
Georges St. Pierre is my all-time favorite.
Anderson Silva is a very close second.
My current favorite active fighter is probably Charles Oliveira. This is a difficult category to track because some fighters withdraw for months or even years. Then they show up outta nowhere and fight to change the game.
In that way, Tony Ferguson has always been legendary. It would be a damn shame if he never made hall of fame, in my opinion.
I have more than one depending on the sport but they are very similar
I would say Lebron James for basketball
Tom Brady for football
Max Verstappen in Formula One
I could go on but it’s always a similar profile: insane talent and work ethics. Tons of haters who ran out of legitimate criticism years ago but still try
I'm sort of a Bostonian so on an all time basis there are two athlete's I loved watching...
What a great sports town Boston has been for 4+ decades.
Pat Rafter. He was fortunate to sneak into the window before Federer began the modern tennis era, peaking at ATP world number 1 for all of one week... But more importantly he's the nicest guy ever to grace a court. Top bloke.
I'm a marathoner so one of my favorite and inspiring athletes is Sifan Hassan. She's incredible. Her determination despite setbacks inspires me.
Bobby Orr the worlds greatest hockey player and a great guy.
i might go with Jean Claude Van Damme, because he could have been a world champion kickboxer if he wanted to be, and actually fought (and won) a couple dozen pro fights before his acting career took off. Even though the "fight science" of his movies is incorrect, he popularized Martial Arts in a way nobody except Bruce Lee could ever have done.
@Ez-Bri-Z_v2 I like to watch Austin Reeves of the Lakers. He is a real spark plug for the team
mbappe (because i'm part french and he made us win the 2018 world cup)
Alysa Liu right now because she won the gold
There have been many great athletes, but Jim Thorpe was one of the greatest of all time. His accomplishments are legendary.
I don't have a favorite of a lot of things, however, right now, Jalen Brunson, Aaron Judge, Jason Whiten, Dave Winfield, Danny White, Emmit Smith. Michael Chang, Adam Graves, Steffi Graf.
I liked Karl Yastrzemski and Larry Bird. Yaz kept his head down. Larry Bird put his head in your face.
Currently Josh Allen. Sucks he's with the crumbling Bills.. My all time favorites are Reggie Miller, Tiger Woods, and Peyton Manning!
Fernando Alonso.
Ronnie coleman and jay cutler
Lance Armstrong. GOAT.
Gronk. Dominant, nice and funny
The Goat Roger Federer
Peter brock 05 hdt 9 times Bathurst winner
Jenny Metcalf.
Muhammad Ali
Bryce Harper.
Roger Federra
