CURRENTLY? Team is easy to answer, player is a little tougher if I’m dealing with solely current athletes.

Team: New England Patriots. REAL fan. Was here before the dynasty, and I’m still here after. Football is my first love, and that’s the home team, so I’ve just always been a rider since I was conscious enough to know about them. I’m always loyal to home teams, I’m always a little judgey when someone likes some random team from a place they have no connection to, haha. If you don’t have a true home team in your area, or maybe your mom or dad are from the area of said team and it’s a family tradition, I’ll allow it. But you meet these people who are like “I’m a Dallas Cowboys/ NY Yankees/LA Lakers/Montreal Canadiens fan!”, and they’ve just clearly picked a team with some historical significance, or worse, a current front-runner🤦‍♂️😒 You can do whatever you want, I’m just a guy shaking his fist at the clouds, lmao, but it does irk me in some situations.

Players, tougher to say because I’m not watching sports as much the last couple years in favor of playing myself, and I’m at the age where these guys are much younger than me, so the awe factor isn’t the same for me…. I haven’t watched as much baseball as I used to lately, but Shohei Ohtani is HIM. MLB should be marketing the hell out of this guy, absolute phenom at the plate AND on the mound. They’ll probably take him out of pitching eventually, when his arm starts breaking down, so catch the Modern Day Babe Ruth act while you can. Absolute STUD, this kid…

That dude he strikes out in the second highlight to win the World Baseball Classic is Mike Trout, who, if you don’t follow baseball, is the OTHER best baseball player in the world, lmao, so this kid is the realest of deals. Absolute monster 👹

Yay another Patriots fan! Unfortunately I'm one of those who is a fan from afar. I grew up in South Texas but HATED the cowboys and the Texans didn't exist yet. My parents grew up in Pennsylvania and were Steelers fans and I couldn't do that either do I picked the team that always had Doug Flutie on it lmao

@WhiteSteve My brother in law was a pre Brady pats fan. Way back before even the Victor Kiam days. We used to call them the Patsies.
He had cancer and he was really excited when the Pats picked up Drew Bledsoe. In 1994 the Patriots got a wild card spot in the playoffs. My Brother in law was in really tough shape but he hung on to watch the Patriots play the Browns in the first playoff game in recent memory. The pats lost that game and my brother in law died that night.

My fave is the one and only Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins. He is retired from hockey but remains one of the best conditioned athletes on the planet. He is a great player and a fantastic human being. He played until he was 45 and now he is running marathons. He does a marathon at 3:30.
