Before Norway even qualified, Haaland fans were saying Haaland will score the most goals in this World Cup. Some others were saying Norway will dominate, and no one stands a chance against Haaland. Just now, I saw a Haaland fan say Norway will win the World Cup. I've never seen any other player with such overly-confident fans. From MY personal observations, historically, overconfidence and putting to much faith into ONE player, has lead to disappointment. Also, just because he's good with Manchester City, doesn't mean he will be good with his national team, where he has completely different teammates and coaches, and completely different tactics. Also, the World Cup is a different environment.
I'm personally skeptical. He might score a bunch of goals against Iraq, maybe one or two in other matches, so he MIGHT get the Golden Boot, but there's NO WAY Norway is winning the World Cup or even making it super far. Or maybe he'll get injured or get a red card. His fans shouldn't be so confident. Also, football is a TEAM sport. You can't rely on one player to carry you.

THIS is just arrogant...

You’re absolutely right that football is a team sport and the World Cup is a different beast ⚽️
Haaland is a monster for City and can still be clinical for Norway, but without a stacked supporting cast and strong tactics, there’s a hard ceiling. Overhype around a single player usually leads to disappointment.
He might shine individually, but Norway dominating or winning the World Cup is extremely unlikely.
