If you couldn’t root for your own country in the World Cup, who gets your support and why?

I don't pay attention to soccer much, but it's fun seeing all the festivities and such going on right now. If I wasn't rooting for the US, I'd probably root for Scotland. I've seen so many videos of them having fun around Boston, and they seem to try and spread that cheer.

I'm rooting for the USA since that's where I am from and they have a good chance at winning, but if I was going to root for another, it would be Argentina to see Messi defeat Ronaldo.

Next year during the women's World Cup I'll be supporting Spain the most because they have more players I like, and it's difficult to move on and support the American women after how many of them were immoral, no good, POS people for years in the past, even though now they have a lot of new, different players. I just seriously dislike their organization as a whole.

Scotland. Their fans are great. Many went to a Red Sox game and it was funny from the videos I have seen. They are drinking the bars dry and having a great time here in the US.

Once the US is out, I'll have to look around and see who's left. Most countries I would root for for various reasons aren't in it: Ireland, Finland, Iceland. So maybe Germany or the Netherlands or Canada or Mexico if they're still around.

Because I just don't bother with such things. In the first place, it's just a game. If you have fun watching that or cheering on one team over another, knock yourself out. Secondly, somebody's gonna win and somebody's gonna lose or, at least there'll be a tie. I see no reason to get depressed or pissed off enough to hurt other people or their belongings or yourself just because your team was one of those. See number 1! It's JUST A GAME!!
