Should the NFL adopt a mercy rule for historically lopsided games?

I swear, the New Orleans Saints are as bad or worse than they have EVER been in my entire life. This is like the 1980s and 1990s all over again, only worse.

Freaking owner and management don't know what they are doing for starters. They trade away all the good players for mediocre crap tier players. Then they hire a coach who must not know what they are doing, and what the hell happened to the defense? They went from top 5 defense every year to shit-tier defense which can't get one stop in an entire football game. It's pathetic.

I would be more on board with a second tier league as they do in the best soccer leagues

Blowouts happen, yet comebacks are part of football’s identity and history. The league also cares about TV contracts, betting, stats, incentives, and player evaluations, all of which depend on playing full games.

The real fix for the Saints is better drafting, coaching, and cap management, not changing the rules. 🏈
