Should the practice of high school football come to an end?

Part of me kinda feels like it should. Is 17 year old kids sustaining concussions and brain injuries really beneficial to society in any way? ( don’t get me wrong, I love football but I don’t think children should be playing it.)

Probably yeah. If it was a much rarer sport then perhaps it could be more readily ignored but quite frankly American Football is probably single handedly responsible for knocking a few IQ points from the US average at this point due to its large widespread influence. Its not even that unusual for a sport to need to be reworked either through changing the rules or maybe changing the equipment. As we become better and better at it over the years we run into problems we never used to have which forces us to refine or limit the sport to compensate for the improvement.
