Trending & News Microsoft Lumia 950XL... Windows 10 Mobile in case some never heard of it.
Tried iPhones, hate the UI, The over price aspect for hardware they claim is new and never been seen before, despite being tech that Androids and Lumias have had years before.
Seriously, iPhoneX with facial recogniser doohicky, wireless charging, and a slew of other things my 950XL already does. Though mine also has a better camera and the ability to plug into a monitor and get a Windows10 Desktop experience... A device from 2015. Samsung and other Android OEMs already had things Apple rips off and I don't want to pay more money than I already paid for a similar product from almost three years ago.
Android?
Well I Had Huawei P9. Great phone in it's own right, hardware wise. First phone I ever saw that had dual lenses... Before Apple invented those a few months later of course.
There were certainly plenty of apps to choose from, but the majority of apps are just copies and knock offs of other apps and annoying to sort through. I tried a lot, but after a month or so, I ended up with all the apps I already used on my Lumia. The UI, no matter how many Launchers I tried, all were either the same basic thing, but slightly different, or way too frigging out there and unusable. I found the W10M OS simply more fluid, easier to get around, things are where you expect them, and doesn't bloat and bog down over time.
And updates. Google and OEMs sort your crap out. Updating Android is so damn annoying if not impossible. Oreo is out, yet the majority of Phones don't have it. Hell my P9 was still two versions older. Huawei said they got the Neugant or whatever available. I downloaded it, stuck it in the Dload folder, but on the internal drive. The update tried, failed and then bricked my phone. The recovery options say to load a fresh install off the SD, but the one on the internal keeps loading and bricking & can't get it off.
So I'm back to my 950XL. It just works damnit. It updates, it's old, but still good specs even by todays standards looking at the iPhone X. I do need a replacement soon, but I don't know where to turn. MS is killing off W10M & nobody knows for certain what their next move is with this mythical Surface Phone/Mobile thing.
For ME? I'm not an Apple person (they are a good fit for many people, but not for me - I like to have a lot more direct control), so I'm Android all the way.
But I have just pre-ordered the LG V30+, which in my opinion is the best phone on the market.

Both (regardless of the zealots) will work perfectly for you. Both will do all the daily tasks in the (pretty close due to OS differences) same way, with the same results. Both will place calls (unless your carrier sucks more than your cable provider).
Both will have games and both will look pretty.
Now, there is a small difference in the approach to the UX and the ecosystem (and yeah both will cost more or less the same prices for equivalent models)
I own iPhone, because I like Apple ecosystem. I accomplish the exact same tasks with the exact same results than with Windows/Android (migrated from there, and still own a 2016 Android Tablet, and a 2017 Windows machine)
It mostly is about price range and personal preference.
Unless you are into the "I am going to customize (or at least have the option to) every single aspect of my phone", then go to Android. Now, in real life? More than 90% of the End Users (meaning people like you and me) just want the thing to work and to do what we need to do, we customize down to a certain point, but mostly, it is wallpaper and functions.
Choose the one that you like, and be happy with it, when you get tired, change for the other OS and enjoy it.
Android has a better hardware whilst apple are known for their software, the way the user interacts with the phone.
Need a good long lasting phone? Android.
Need a fun and nice looking phone? Iphone
#teamandroid here though
Surprisingly the A11 chip out performs the snapdragon 835 chip in synthetic benchmarks.
Even with the iPhone being faster I'd still prefer android for the flexibility.
I prefer neither, but if I have to choose, Samsung is the lesser of two evils.

Not just samsung but android in general. Im on a galaxy s8 at the moment. But android is such a more open interface. Its unlimited formatting. Iphone is nothing but an over priced status symbol thats become a raquet. My s8 costs less than the iphone x and it does more. My s7 costed less than the iphone 7 and it was water resistant and still had a aux jack and wireless charging. And get this. Samsung and others make the components for iphone to buy and put in their phones.
Iphone was the best when they came out but the times have changed and android is taking over.
Simplicity and if you just want a basic smart phone that does what it needs: IPhone 8 or less because no one needs the IPhoneX at all.
For complex tasks, a computer in your pocket and can be basic as a phone/texting: Samsung
Any model would suffice for the top of line uses that most people don't need mind you, but have the capability to.
Maybe not necessarily Samsung but yeah, android in general. The Google pixel I think is a good place to start
@BlueBloodBoi yeah android is what I meant, I heard the Pixel 2 was quite good!
It is, looking to have that as my next phone, although the OnePlus series is really decent as well
Iphones are slowed down by apple after every new iphone launch. This has been revealed already. With newer updates they slow down cpu speed and force updates coz if we dont update they make the apps incompatible with older software. I always had my issue with the i6 but now note 8 is the best
Samsung, Iphone is built more solid but you can't even put an micro SD card in it. It's locked up , you can't download videos from the net etc. I'd avoid I phone.
I don't have or use either brand of phone. Been thinking about the Razer Phone for gamers, but have yet to make up my mind on whether I want to spend a large sum of money on a new phone.
I've only had Samsung so I can't evaluate props buuut iPhone camera🔥🔥🔥that would just make me 😍😢
Huaweii. Much better than the other two combined and it costs about half, even their top model. I have a Huaweii P8 and its a very good phone, even after two years.
I have an LG Q6 and I adore it. Screw iPhones and Samsung.
Samsung. More flexible for less price.
I'm leaning more to Razer Phone though...
I have the Google Pixel and it's absolutely amazing.
Used to have iPhone, now have Samsung and it's one of my best decisions ever... only negative is the camera quality
Android alllll thaaa way! Samsung is supplying screens for there latest Iphones lol,
Both are made to broke within two years... So u will have to fix them or buy new one...
None of these phones are durable one fault and its fucked. Pardon my French
Samsung. Don't think I've ever seen an iphone in real
iPhone, cause I'm lazy.
