Mariana's web is a Internet theory which may or may not exist. Basically, there are several layers to the Internet with varying degrees of salience and accessibility. Level 1 is the common web which everyone is familiar with. Mariana's Web is identified at Level 5 the most hidden, obscure, dark and twisted part of the Internet.
Criminals such as drug dealers, contract killers and other criminals are hireable/contactable on the dark web then imagine what kind of degeneracy is within Mariana's web which is a level deeper than the dark web.
The existence of Mariana's web is a theory and Internet experts are unsure if it really exists as its inaccessible by everyday technology and supposedly requires a quantum compute to access.

those all exist. i mean that's not even a question. you can go there pretty easily and see for yourself.
actually the iceberg analogy you posted is wrong though. cause an iceberg is super big below the surface and tiny beneath the surface.
while this is true for the surface web and the deep web, it isn't for the dark web.
here is a guide to what is what:
surface level internet. direct connection to official and open websites via a standard browser accessed by typing in domain names or direct ip adresses
Subsurface level internet or "deep web" is the "internet of things" communication. those are all kinds of devices that will talk which each other over the internet but this communication is not accessible via your standard browser like chrome, firefox, internet explorer, safari or opera. this internet is largely boring actually allthough there is a possibility for all kinds of mischief if you are a higly specialized professional
then lastly there's the "dark web". the dark web are all kinds of connections that use ecoded protocols or standards that are intentionally trying to prevent access to the communication between sending and recieving end or make it extremely hard and borderline impossible for a third party what's going on. it's called "dark web", cause are traditionally used for crimes. so for example you could access hitmans, child pornography, bestiality, drugs, illegal weapons, you name it but also for example whisle blowing and exposing of political scandals on those ways, which use a specific programm to access.
however "dark net" is a very small fraction of the overall internet and "mostly" used for nefarious stuff. you can actually easily access one of the dark nets. just install the tor browser... you just need the URL of websites to acces them, cause they are not catalogued like most stuff with google nowadays. either you find a list somewhere or you don't know the url and hence you can't access the site.
there is no mystery in all this. however consider that using the dark net is extremely dangerous as the fbi is using strategies to catch people doing nefarious things. your chances of getting caught are dangerously high at the moment allthough not guaranteed, cause the encryption method is so good.
If it needs a quantum computer, it's certainly untrue. Nobody has quantum computers yet except from a handful of famous research institutes around the world. And even their quantum computers are still crappy compared to normal computers. It will take AT LEAST an other 30-40 years until we'll see quantum computers available for average Joes.
I've been on dark web. There were sites where you could get drugs, guns, counterfeit currency and fake US, UK passports.
I also remember seeing hire a hitman thing.
Then I accidentally clicked on one link and it led me to porn site. I didn't play any video but on thumbnail I saw a boy getting spanked. Got the hell outta there and never went back.
There are private networks that are inaccessible to anyone except those people that are authorised.
There are also Usenet, Undernet, Onion sites and another place I will not mention. Each requires its own software to access it, and a whole lot of knowledge to stay safe.

Quantum computers are so elementary at this time that there is no practical use for them.
You really don't need to go to the dark web to see some messed up, sick stuff. I found a site called gruesome. com directly on Google... and let's just say... it holds the name up.
Hmmm well I guess, but it's usually just like really bad car accidents that people been in that gruesome to look at. Stuff like that for the most part.
It exists alright. That's what they called the Internet or Online "Black Market" for all sorts of illegal content, to purchase and trade or sell and offer illegal goods and services.
It could probably be why somebody had decided to create a new means of payment and trade in the form of a digital currencies like cryptocurrencies, not saying they are exclusively used for it nor completely meant for it. But it is the best thing for it, if you just think about how it works.
Watching movies and stuff like Nerve and Friend Request that mention stuff like this will like you know that it's real. Media, Hollywood, the government etcalways shows us this stuff in plain sight so when things start happening you can't say you weren't warned.

well I've heard of a guy getting kidnapped and tortured one day because he attempted to swindle some guy on the black market, though this was only on one of the chatrooms that was relatively high up in the web compared to where these dealings occur. though photographic evidence of the guy being kidnapped (new articles and a police report) and videos of the same guy being tortured were spread around on the blueweb for about an hour so i believe it to be true.
It does exist, That's where the hackers do their stuff, drug dealers, how do you think guns and drugs are bought illegaly too? The black market runs there too. And it would be a bad idea for anyone to venture there unless you want to get hacked or unintentionally get involed with gangs and hackers

I was a supplier used to sell Air tickets at 50% off on Hansa Market, Dream Market but ALPHAbay and Hansa MArket are seized, I was stopped selling and out of business lol, It's impossible to track if some are under double hop vpn + tor network..
Most get caught for using google services as they shared IP address to the FBI..
