we're a sad generation with
happy pictures on social media.
Do you agree with this?
The Millenials had to deal with the Great Recsession of 2008 to 2012 with high unemployment and lost homes due to irresponsibility on both the Loan Officers and the people thinking they could actually afford the expensive homes!
Millenials had to deal with a lot of violence from the local and state media and a lot of changes in politcal climates!
The dollar's value kept going down and down and I don't know when that will stop. (Thanks inflation. Thanks alot!).
Children of today may not have Social Secuirity when they retire.
Social Media is immature and stupid but it's also fun and addicting. That is what is the problem sometimes! It's like video games or overeating.
I feel Im being a hater with my comment. But this is precisely why I dont post anything in social media. Seems as if, people are "self branding" themselves in so many self absorbing ways that its very hypocritical. A happy person doesn't brags in "real life" about how happy they are. (of course there will be exceptions) yet my point is I feel is just too much. Maybe Its just my own mind and heart, but I do feel its mentally exhausting to see so many people publishing their "perfect" portraits.
Yeah I always compliment my friends on their posts and they tell me it’s all fake and they are miserable lol
I think these days there are far more outlets for us to escape into. It is a lot easier to escape what is going on in our world.
It's the same in every generation. No sweat. Just live your life and dont compare yourself to others. Cause it's pointless. :3

I agree. I think that this generation really feels the need to overcompensate and hide the way things really are.
Well we are sadder than photos make us look. Sadder than previous generations? I don't know.
That’s why I don’t look at social media much. Because it’s all fake bullshit
Wow that's powerful and deep. I totally agree
Yeah, I don't usually see social media posts that say "Hey, I cheated on my husband and I'm neglecting our kid."
I usually just see a bunch of family photos.
no generation ever posted their "saddest most rock bottom moments" on their social media channel.
Yes. People sadly think pictures on social media is true happiness.
