I haven't done anything, but my best advice would be to just be yourself and the kind of people you want to follow you will. I personally find followers to be pointless if they're only interested in what you have to say if you're putting on a persona that doesn't match who you really are as a person. I definitely believe in quality over quantity.

Also, I don't mean to go on a spiel that you probably don't want to hear, lol, but keep in mind that having a lot of followers doesn't mean someone is a knowledgeable, interesting, or even decent person. Many celebrities have such a large following simply for saying or doing idiotic things, or for being controversial. It's more about shock value than their quality as a person.

Nothing in particular. I just answered as I normally would and people followed me.

Just be around long enough, answer as you would, and people will notice you. You will naturally attract people based on your conduct & track-record. Some will be repulsed and will block you, some will be attracted and will follow you, and some won't feel anything and will just pass by your posts. In other words, it's just like the rest of the Internet.
