Considering how sexual it already allows its users to be, there's little point in disallowing it. It's basically like the ridiculous censorship laws that some east Asian countries have where you put a line or two over some random part of the genitals and somehow that hides everything.

For you younger people out there. Just remember that once you post something online, it’s permanent. It’s bad enough people are getting fired from their jobs for posting something politically incorrect 15 years ago. Posting nudes (unless you are making tons of money from it) is a really bad idea. Even if you take it down someone can screenshot it.
I had some shirtless pics posted but in almost all of them I was doing an activity (kickboxing, CrossFit, etc.). I posted one shirtless pic a year ago (I still got 6 pack abs at 39) that had a more fun sexual hint to it. After leaving it up for a week I decided to take it down (regretted posting it). I only keep it for private snaps.
I don't think so because there are a lot of younger kids on instagram. Usually older adults/teens use twitter and facebook. But on instagram, there are adults as well as younger children. Also, there is no need for that. Porn is already online for free and there are sites like onlyfans which have nudity. So, if that's what you are looking for, there are already sites that you can use for that purpose. What is the point of ruining a website which is supposed to be for sharing pics with friends and family with nudity? Because the audience for instagram is so broad, it would be weird to allow nudity on such a platform.

Instagram already does it low key. If it allows nudity, it's no more different than a porn site. If that happens , then social media will change into sites exclusively for sexual pleasures
My friend does special effects and so in my feed there's a bit of fake gore and what instagram does is just blurs it with a warning. They could easily do the exact same thing for nudity. Instagrams fine with fake gore, and there are occasional pics in my feed of real violence/gore which isn't even censored but a human body with its naughty bits out is too much!

I understand unwanted pics of genitals could be bad but context is important. Children can find pics of dicks on google if they wanted to. If they're on Instagram because they're following their fave youtuber or something then it's unlikely they'll see a dick unless that's the sort of thing the youtuber posts. Y'know?
I would personally prefer it didn't because I have no desire to see that and to be honest, that's what porn sites are for, but if they did decide to allow it, it would be nice if they had a feature similar to what Facebook has, where they cover it up and you have to click to view it, or like Reddit where there's a setting to blur NSFW images/not have the ability to view them or whatever.

Why not? If the proper procedures are put into place then there should be no issues. Block users with nudity to users not legally classified as adults, 18 and under and in some cases as with adult magazines nobody 21 and under. As long is it's done properly and legally I do not see why it's an issue
Personally no. Compared to Facebook and Twitter, Instagram has a much larger minor presence on it.
Personally I don't think any social media platform that allows minors to hold accounts should allow 18 content Including any form of nudity. Such as artwork, breastfeeding, etc.
If they're going to allow these types of posts then they need to have an 18 feature that is turned off permanently until a person can provide a government issued ID to prove they're over 18.
Instagram already has a feature that gives some posts a disclaimer about sensitive or inappropriate content and the option to show that post. In that case, I think nudity should be allowed on Instagram and other social media with this warning (the less censorship in this world, the better)
Twitter and Tumbex both allows pretty much all adult content with an easily bypasses filter. which is why many people from Tumblr went to Twitter and/or Tumbex.
but since Instagram is owned by Facebook don't know if they would allow all adult content.

Well the platform has been playing with nudity very close to the line. I think that it would not be very difficult to add a restricted area for adults only and use a very stringent age verification process to access the nudity portion of the application.
I am not a fan of any of these sites to begin with, but I think it would be absolutely nonsense to turn these already useless sites into porn sites. So many other options to find your porn.

If it does allow nudity it has to put and enforce and ensure age restrictions. So either its simple one page for all, or it has to block images or restrict users from viewing them.

It's actually not an issues since you can only use it if your 18+ and well who 18+ hasn't seen people nude in some way. It wouldn't even be an issue to apply a filter that says "I don't want to see nude photos".
