Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt's not a very practical idea. Leaving aside questions of weather conditions and such, there are too many contexts - church, restaurants, etc. - where it simply could not work.
Frankly, my dad was a doctor and he tended to treat nudity as just another day at the office. Consequently we tended to be fairly casual, by American standards, about nudity. I saw my older brother and sister and younger brother nude, and they saw me. I saw my dad at the gym locker room or maybe sometimes in the bathroom. In fairness, I never did see my mom, though she saw me and my siblings.
So it was all pretty casual, and I have carried that on with my own girlfriend and our children. However, we are not our primate ancestors. We have developed, for very good reasons, standards of propriety and appropriate conduct that have served us well. (It was, to say no more, awkward when my oldest, then 7, came downstairs when we had neighbors over and there he was, in all his naked glory. Suffice to say, we had to clarify the rules with him a bit. The irony being that his younger siblings - a boy and a girl - are very much more reserved.)
Suffice to say, occasionally breaking those standards or setting aside places where they do not apply is not a bad thing. (Think the nude beach or such.) Humans have a natural instinct to return to their primitive state and a slight indulgence of that can be healthy. However, to make that a universal rule is simply neither wise nor practical. We are where we are in our social development and you cannot un-ring the bell.
So I voted "yes," but it is more because the answer is not always "no" then because the yes is a universal constant. Allowing human beings to be naked is to allow them to recur to their natural state and instincts and that can be a good thing. However, too much of a good thing is not - and, as I say, the rules have changed in the 2 million years since man first stepped foot on the planet.00 Reply

No. There's a reason we don't have flopping dicks out in public around churches and schools. I swear, I'm so sick of people being selfish assholes over living in a society of civilized people. Yes, nudity is directly tied to sexuality, and no, it's not right to ask people to "just go asexual" just so a few narcissitic selfish assholes can walk around in front of children and others because they think "they just should be able to." You can live in the middle of the woods if you're that gun-ho about it, but people nowadays are just so damn selfish and inconsiderate and completely forget to think about the world around them rather than their own wants and needs.
This shit comes up every week, and it's usually feminists advocating for this crap (no surprise there), from open tits, to nudity, to free tampons, to free abortions, and everything else, which is ironic since they like to control everyone ELSE in society. Not saying OP is one, just saying, I'm sick of people with this mentality of putting their own needs above everyone else and feeling so entitled to it. It's bad enough so many transwomen do this already; thinking society should kiss their asses at the detriment of everyone else.10 Reply
+1 yYes and I feel like everyone should support and normalize it. Nudity is just natural and we shouldn't feel ashamed of our body's

+1 yI don't support public nudity because, in all honesty, some bodies are just not "pleasant" to be seen naked.

+1 yFor beaches and other places yes.
Being naked is simply being natural.
however walking down the high street or local shopping complex, not really..
I know from having been on holidays and used nudist beaches, resorts that a lot of guys simply exploit it.
To me, it’s just a case of being in beach or beside pool30 Reply- 3.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yNo.
Why should I? I don't want to see some dude's schlong. I don't want to see some fat/gross man walking around butt naked.
Also, I don't want my wife or daughter walking around naked. I don't want some other dudes getting to see all the private, intimate eye candy I get to see.
That stuff is private to me. It's just between us.10 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yyes i support because whats the harm? oh someone is naked? wow, my eyes, im blind, not... if u can't handle someone being naked u need to grow up. and grow some balls.
we are animals after all, homosapiens, we evolved from apes... imagine if the neanderthals billions of years ago said to his friend... hey put on your clothes, its really offending me and disgusting... like fuck off... he jus needs to grow up... dogs have to look at other dogs naked all the time n it doesn't bother them.. so why does it bother us? cos were sensitive soft snowflakes, and we shouldn't be23 Reply

+1 yAs a nudist I do support public nudity but not compulsory nudism. At a clothing optional resort nobody cares and while there may be some initial gawking, after you are desensitized nobody really cares or gives it much thought. The only reason I don't uncover much outdoors these days is fear of skin cancer. I wear a lot of covering and tons of sun block but I also live in Florida.

Asker+1 yI haven't decided yet. I tend to support it. I haven't found any good reasons to be against it so far.
897 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, but there need to be rules that are set. It can´t be that everybody is allowed to do everything. I would like it if there were more places and also more resorts where nudity can be lived.

dogs are born naked, imagine making it illegal for them to not wear clothes... in the natural world we live, everything has a restrcition and is prohiubitted... look at the tribal people in rainforest.. they are 100 pure natural humans in the rawest form.. that is how humans are suppose to be.. they have freedom, they dont have stupid rules.. they can go nude all day, we are apes after all, homosapiens, a mamal known as humans, yet we can't do natural things like be naked... the 10000 restrictions in society is bullshit
- +1 y
why are we like this
- +1 y
we need to go back to the tribal caveman days and start over again, and never invent police... we should handle problems ourself.. if someone is a murderer... kill him... if someone steals... beat him... if someone runs around naked... thats not even a goddamn issue
- +1 y
if someone kills a pig, thats ok, its for meat and eating... stupid vegans
Asker+1 y@Gosceewual Dogs have fur, they are not naked.
- +1 y

- +1 y

- +1 y
no u wouldn't make it illegal cos its in their nature.. same with us

+1 yYes. Why is it bad? Some people are offended? People are offended by a lot of things, we shouldn't make laws based on some people being offended, otherwise most things would be illegal
