What are your thoughts on Quora?

What I like about Quora is that you can subscribe something like scientific or medical topics and get a feed from time to time on subjects that interest you, something that is not available on G@G.
But like on this site, those asked questions are most of the times answered by amateurs and not so much by real professionals and that is where the information received can be biased and to be taken with great caution.
They don't respond much. They censor a lot more. Overall there's a lot more serious questions knowledge and complexity. However, it is primarily pseudo knowledge based on "qualifications"
The entire platform is for the type of person who reminds you 15 times per conversation that he is a "Harvard grad, with 56 degrees and honors" and no amount of reason or being wrong get them to admit that they are wrong as they are never wrong and so don't debate. Its for intellectual special snowflakes but occasionally has a good answer from someone with actual experience.
It's decent, but my main complaint with it is you're required to use your real name.
You can look it up yourself Quora has a really stupid real name policy.
That probably explains why so many influencers don't use Quora since a lot of them go by a different alias.
And believe me I tried using a different name and Quora banned me like a few days after I signed up.
The reason they require a real name is that they only want real authentic answers. They don't tolerate for the crap you see on GAG.
.
It’s alright I’d give it a 9/10 I just wish ur able to use a bio but makes sense why they don’t have it so it’ll be legit questions not some like what do I do in this relationship and rant. But it’s rlly good places if ur looking for more intelligent answers.

I went on there and they banned my account cause they told me the name I was using I signed up using my email and I just used a username and they claimed my name was sufficient enough to use, They wanted me to use a real name so it makes no sense to me my opinion use www.similarworlds.com they allow just usernames and not ask for real names on there
That is very stupid for them to do that
@aestheticcxx Yes, I never gave them a reason to do that
so I don't know
Makes no sense why they would care if you use your real name or not
@aestheticcxx I agree well I contacted Similar Worlds and they will allow Usernames
in place of real names
Similar words is much better for that
@aestheticcxx Yes Similar Worlds is much better
For sure
I used to like it a lot. The stuff I posted in the past has 400 k views. But now every question I see is what pictures are worth a million upvotes and some random memes or "facts" being posted. It's like it has become a bad facebook group so I don't go on there anymore.
It's pretty cool, it's basically this without the gendering and the dressing up of questions with photos. G@G also has the MyTake feature which Quora doesn't but I also feel Quora is bigger and more serious with people asking more interesting questions about science and life instead of on here it seems a bit less mature.
It's alright, but the questions are so repetitive, and your content only gets noticed if they want it to. The whole partnership program is a scam. It's just a trick to get more traffic on the site. Maybe they have a few people they pay, but they don't pay everyone. It's so obvious it's a scam, because they provide zero information on how they actually give you the money. They don't ask for a PayPal or anything. I literally had to do a google search to find out how they pay their partners.
I think I tried it once and it was like the most uptight, ridiculously over moderated, strict, boring Q&A site I had ever encountered.
People on that site are too opinionated. I saw one reply to a question about a movie, and some guy roasted it for several paragraphs.
I used to post short answers to some of the questions that I had an opinion on. And occasionally I would actually get an up-vote for my extremely opinionated "answer".
But for a long time now, I only read the Q's and A's I get on my "daily feed" on G-mail
Lot less room for dick heads than GAG as they don't have anonymous posts. In many ways it's a good thing.
If you're looking for an intelligent answer to a question, quora is the place to go. If you're looking for a dumb answer, stick with gag.
Questions rarely get answered, too many rules and not as swift as G@G. (This comment wasn't Sponsored by G@G)
The premise is good and the site well developed, but answers to questions are often scant and take forever.
It’s awesome. Lots of knowledgeable people on there
Lol full of pedophiles and bs stories but does have some good advice
Typical website
where everyone thinks they are a professional of everything
and extremely educated with answers that actually matter.. or help in some significant way
Quora is a good app, it has almost all the answers to your questions.
they spam u with their emails non stop
I’ll stick to GirlsAskIronMan
combination of linked in, reddit & gag.
Very helpful but very slow to get a response
fucked up, just like GAG
I hate Quora.
It’s a nice word
No idea
