Dark web is dark lol. Pulls down the veil and shows how easy it is for people to really cause you harm. Ultimately comes down to just not pissing off for crossing the wrong person
You could use a VPN and hopefully that's enough. But for people who know what they're doing they could find out your home address, your bank account information, your social security number, and a lot of personal details to really hurt you and people in your life
The favor I asked was to help track down a scammer who had called somebody I knew and gave a death threat. Serious enough for me to ask. Turned out it was the friends of the babysitter that my friend hired from several months ago who no longer works with her family anymore
I guess they thought they were being funny. But I got their home address, multiple phone numbers on their family accounts within an hour. Took some time to figure out it was the friends of the babysitter but yea. Narrowed down the search quickly
The first time i ever visited dark web was out of curiosity like any other teen who thinks smoking pot and crystal is the coolest shit ever, that was without any precautions. Later i showed some screenshots to my friends (ofc to look cool) and they told me many stories how dark web could fuck u up fr even worse if ur a minor coz world is fucked up. That scared the shit outta me and i remember not connecting my pc to internet for more than two weeks lol.
Then for my some school project i chose dark web coz again it was cool and all plus i had the knowledge of how to safely execute it. There's a ton of pirated stuff there and thats like what attracted me the most towards it and many interesting blogs and websites and databases not easily accessible.
Last time i went there was about 2 weeks ago but i found something suspicious while monitoring my network traffic which i don't really care about anymore but it got boring anyways to cite lame evidences of what's going on in there, even tip cyber sec sometimes.

Yes I've heard stories. One can find ads of killers. Add for buying illegal weapons. Drug dealers. Selling information. Illegal things for download that can't survive normal web without being deleted by owner or whoever has licence. That's pretty much it. Nobody thinks it's fun. It's necessary to those who once in their life wanted or thought about wanting to try out something from above mentioned. Mostly drugs.
When i was in college we had a class where they gave us some kind of code to access the dark web. I don't remember what i did when i was in there, but sure. I'd try again. As far as i i kn, it's not all illegal stuff.

The dark net isn't direct only for illegal stuff, it's for every stuff people buy... which can be stolen and sold for money... taxes are also a big reason...
If you know what you want, you can get it... but it's clear that if you buy something, your money got a high probability to get into hands of pretty bad people, bader than most can imagine...
But the thing is, I personally see overly rich people who threads their workers like shit, like Amazon, apple, Samsung, Sony, etc etc... are not good persons either, they just used their money to look clean in public
And I just bought stuff to wash my clothes, while I could have bought drugs, guns, illegal ammunition, etc pretty easy... fck, if you got the btc you can buy a tank or a military aircraft...
There is nothing inherently dark or forbidden about the dark web. It's just a bunch of website that aren't linked to or indexed by search engines like google. Put a "robots. text" file on your webserver and bam you can join the dark web.
You need to know what your looking for and know the TOR address (which ends in. onion) because you can't just google "drugs" or something and start buying illegal stuff.
So many stories out there of people seeing shocking things on the so-called dark web. 99% of them are fiction. And anyone who has used the dark web before can see the fiction for what it is.

You probably mean "deep web," as "dark web" is simply whatever content has not (or cannot) be indexed for conventional viewing. But yeah, I've traded a few. onion sites, but it's not really a place to go if you don't know what you're doing.
I have used it. Honestly, it's not that great. There are some message boards with intelligent discussion about all kinds of things. There's a lot of illegal stuff. All in all, it's better to stay off of it. There's really warped stuff on there that you don't want to see.

Yes. Hour 1 - feels like you are in a new world. there are hacking forums, "illegal books", more hacking forums... Killers for hire... Hour 2 onwards - feels like 99% of the content is a scam lol

@Phoenix98 weird stuff is common place almost everywhere online, drugs & weapons are more of a word of mouth type of thing and it seems suspect as hell to do it online... assassins make sense to be online because you could make it very anonymous if done right but more likely than not you'd probably be talking to a federal agent. Almost all those aspect are better offline.
Well the dark web operates a bit differently then the regular internet from what I understand. On top of that you have to have certain programs to even be able to get on it.
@Phoenix98 the YouTube channel Barely Socialable and LEMMiNO and others like them do a great job of exploring those subjects like the SilkRoad & AlphasBay as well as other strange sites.
I have tires once due to my brother who is a pro at IT he is crazy when it comes to this stuff.. but I don’t suggest you do it at all! Never You can find anything.. really ! It will make you question life. If you do try it you have to be careful you don’t fall a victim of a bad bad scam..
It's mostly message boards, sure there's drug and gun stuff but that's really not the focus, it's almost all just conversation and conspiracy stuff and repositories of info
can't see how any charges accrued would stick. Dont you have to sign for a package in the mail before its yours and you have "posession" over it? So while the buyers still innocent the cops have commited possesion with intent to distribute?
It's not really that bad, and definetly not as "evil" and "dark" as some youtubers have made it out to be, most of the time it's just teenagers trying to be edgy. You can do almost anything you want on there if you know how to find it.
