Does anyone have a soundbar for their tv?

Does anyone use them? If so do they make a major difference?

Dont have one but seen them... basically the old TVs we had growing up had lots of room so had big speakers in them, hence a "good" sound... the new TVs need thin ones so its more like a tinny "mobile phone" type sound to it. A soundbar brings back that big speaker sound, so its not tinny... and obviously more you pay and such the better

Can you connect your phone to the soundbar to play music?

I guess it just depends on the make, if it has blue tooth connectivity then sure, i would be surprised if there isn't one that does it

We tested the one my brother gave us for some time, and it does sound really good. But you can also use any speaker and connect it to the headphone aux port on the TV, eg. a Bluetooth speaker (which you may have in your house anyway). And it will make a huge difference in soundquality.

I have a soundbar for my LG TV because the speakers in the TV just sound... just ok. The Yamaha soundbar I bought has *great* sound and makes the whole TV experience much better.
