Every now and then when I go to turn it on, before the picture comes up (there's always a bit of a delay), I'll hear sound, but then it'll automatically shut itself off and the light on the front will blink and I can't do anything after, none of the controls will work. The only way I can fix it is to unplug it and plug it back in. Which is fine, but very annoying. I don't know why it's even doing it? And like I say, it's only every once and a while, not every time. I tried googling this and I've seen things like adjust settings, or the batteries in the remote are low, but it's neither of those things in my case. If it is a setting, I can't find anything. Is it just a glitch or something with those TV's?
Superb Opinion
Those TVs are aging. It's likely an issue with the internal power supply, which is repairable with some technical skill, but may require some soldering. There is always risk involved when opening up the shell of a TV that you will break something worse than it was already since there is very little tolerance between parts in modern TVs.
