I hate Instagram.
*It’s visual so it gives room to all kinds of insecurities for young people - be it looks, body or a lifestyle.

*Instagram stories: I hate it. I don’t need to see what you’re up to and feel bad about my mediocre life, nor do I need to share what I’m doing. Funny thing is when I did have social media, my stories made it out to be that I had a perfect life (holidays, money, friends) but I was on antidepressants and the lowest point of my life.

*Followers - do you know how many relationships this has destroyed? Over a stupid follow and a stupid like.

*The not so private feature - thank GOD Instagram had some common sense and removed it. There was once that feature where you could see what people were up to, including who they’re following and what they’re liking. Gosh that’s EXHAUSTING.

Tumblr, they ruined that site once they started banning NSFW content and made SWers unable to use the site. It’s just boring now and a good portion of the users stopped using it.

TikTok because:
A. The content of the app is so retarded that even a chimpanzee with down syndrome appears as a physicist in comparison to the average user.
B. The short video style has been scientifically proven to alter our attention spans similar to that of a goldfish.
C. Minors are sexualized on the app.
D. The culture is stupid; “ratio, didn’t read, based” etc it’s basically just teenagers being stupid online.
E. It is a Chinese spyware app, read the terms and conditions.

Next in line would be Twitter for obvious reasons.

I find Facebook to be rather toxic. I do have an account on there that I've had since I was 16 and up until I was about 21 I used to post on there probably a few times a week. As I've gotten older I prefer privacy and the last year I've really only posted on there once every 2 months. I keep it simple on there and heavily restrict my profile. I do use Instagram which I've had since I was 18 and I post on there a couple times a month. I scroll on TikTok a lot but never post anything. That's about the only social media I use along with this platform.

Twitter, people there are so retarded that i get a headache from it although Reddit is a close second because moderators have way too much power and will permanently ban you at will for disagreeing with anything someone says.

I got permanently banned from a subreddit because of a post I made where someone say they're coming out as "a-gender" and I replied "so you're coming out as delusional? That's nothing to be proud of" that was apparently all I had to say to get permanently banned from the subreddit🤷‍♂️

I don't use any other social media besides tiktok and here. I pretty much disabled my others. Just wasn't for me anymore after being on them for years. People in my life know my email and my mobile number. I also work 2 jobs, and I study part-time, so I like to just focus on me.

I don’t like Facebook because it offers too much exposure into your personal life and not everyone will help your reputation when they know your business, Instagram is okay because dialogue is limited and GAG is great cause the image is small and you can post an animal pic for anonymity purposes.

Tik tok. So much stupid dumb content and scams. Even though I've never made an account I've still seen a lot of stupid stuff come from tik tok. The most recent thing I remember seeing was people faking being from Ukraine asking for money and scamming their audience with fake donation links. Thats just messed up

Twitter is the only place that has destroyed me psychologically. Those who commit suicide, torture and rape animals, abuse of young children, in short, the only place I hate people in Turkey. Instagram is just a fantasy. I had a friend who even went so far as to point out the honeymoon and I deleted that girl. There are only women's groups on Facebook, the articles there make me laugh. In short, social media does not exceed 1 hour in total per week. I have a handsome boyfriend, I am using WhatsApp because I am far away from him. Other than that, I have nothing to do with social media.

So many of them suck. FaceBook is for boomers, I don't know why teens still use it, it feels outdated. Instagram, Snapchat, and What's app are such nothing apps. VS. CO is better than Insta anyways. TikTok is ok ig, but it's still a worse Vine and I don't use it.

I only tolerate gag because its a question and answer platform, so any annoying things are mostly offset by knowledge gained or people related to.

I never used social media until I was like 25 but then found it was an excellent source for news and information I had assumed for many years it was just something annoying teenagers used.

Personally I have found Instagram and tiktok to be the worst (at least from desktop computer I have not used them on smart phone) Instagram videos do not tell you how long the video is or let you skip around, and if you go to another tab or minus out the video stops playing and starts over. TikTok has just not worked well or functioned properly for me and the videos auto play and are loud and it annoyed the hell out of me.

I would rateTelegram as number 1 social media with twitter and twitter clones (gettr, gab, truth social) being number 2

Facebook is toxic, overexposed to threats and of course addictive (not much) but is at least useful in many many ways.

TikTok however has no real use and is very addictive and builds anxiety through the amount of unrealistic content floating, it's for now not a place full of bigger threats
