Hell no. My google maps already tracks me enough by letting me know a "timeline" of all the places I've visited within the month which I find wild. Now I would have to deal with a chip probably knowing when Im rubbing one out or taking a duece. HELL NAW TO ALL OF IT.
Its not only the month, but the moment you created your account, from that moment till now. Almost precise locations are there. I was surprised to see my data from 2015 or something, till now. Every place I visited was in the database.

Technology is too new. That chip would pop out the second I go to remove an oil filter that is stuck on a car. Maybe someday, but I wouldn't be an early adopter. Chips could totally be hacked and duplicated and then you would have millions of worthless chips floating around in people's bodies. It's bad enough arguing with a bureaucrat when their computer has bad records. I can't imagine the nightmare having a busted chip would cause. You would be locked out of everything.

The problem with those kind of chips of that they are easily hackable, which would getting A LOT of problems. That alone is a big "no" from me. That aside, I think the gps function would be my choice. The medical and the credit thingy are not something I worry too much, but the gps would actually be useful in a couple of situations, one of them legally. Again, if they weren't hackable.

Lets be real our government is not going to "chip" us at least for a long time. They can follow us much easier with all the other gadgets we willingly and wanting use every minute! I would not get chipped because I do not need it. Things malfunction and require constant replacements.
I think about if my bosses at my job offered me a microchip expecting me to believe they have my best interests at heart, then ask why would nearly everyone who worked at a large organization say "hell no" at an idea those in power make the workers their 1st priority... yet faceless government organizations yeah I'll do it for them.

No. Every few years people come up with a new chip, making the old redundant. Would we have surgery every single time? I think not. It's simply not practical, having something more modular is more practical in the long run. Something small, lightweight, perhaps with a screen that we can type on.. Let's call it a phon--- Phona, yes, ofcourse.

honestly, the pros outweigh the cons for me. imagine getting kidnapped, sitting in some rapists basement, you'll be wishing you got one. crime would go down a lot too honestly, kidnappings anyway. it would need to be more refined than you listed, and only accessed in medical or saftey situations. because im sure closet gays dont want their parents seeing them at a gay club or something. but its a good idea i think

Yes i would, it's a NFC so it means you pretty much have to be on any devices that reads the chip. You can't be tracked, you can't be monitored. So I'm all aboard.
Interesting how so many have said no without understand the limitations to the technology. The "government" can't track you through a chip like this, it's simply is not possible. Besides they don't need to, because you have a phone. And phones is all that they need to track you. It's a loot cheeper for them to.
I think corporations and industry would only use it as means to get you to pay for shit you really do not need.

It's so funny how people worry about their privacy and being tracked. As if google, facebook, mobile networks, security cameras with AI don't do it all already. I think the medical analysis far out weighs some random tracking me.
Seems uncomfortable and it's unnecessary at this point. I don't mind my location being tracked. Have plenty of electronics that do it, already. What "other" privacy is there, exactly?
