I do got the very first model.
And even after all this time, i am really happy with it and would buy one again if this one breaks.
The cons are:
Least powerfull hardware of the current console gen, so don't expect some groundbreaking graphics with ray tracing and 4k and what not. The hardware is decent enough but not for techfreaks.
The joycons "break" really easy, you got a problem with drift, when the analoge stick registers movement even when its still, so you have to watch out for this, but Nintendo being aware of this problem, sofar accepts all joycons for repair.
The Eshop is a mess, its a nightmare to look through the downloadable games.
Pros are:
Mix of two worlds, handheld and console.
You got tons of games as Nintendo accepted all 3rd party titles and you got many old games being rereleased on switch, so you will find something to play.
It simply works, the way you see in commercials, you can play anywhere, anytime.
And for games, what genres do you like?

I have a Switch Lite. The system is only really worth it for the exclusives (Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc.) in my case.
If you don't have a gaming computer, PS5 or Xbox Series S/X, then I'd say the switch is a very good entry-level option for indie games and select AAA titles.
That said, there are some graphically intensive games coming to PC and other modern Consoles, but not the Nintendo Switch due to the paltry processing chip that's inside. If you intend on playing said games, then I suggest going for the gaming PC, or the PS5 if you want to enjoy the PlayStation exclusives.
It's okay. Nice big screen, but wish it had more games. Hate the joycons so I went out and bought better ones. I grew up on the N64 and GameCube, so the switch, for me, doesn't compare to either.
The best games are super expensive and almost are never on sale or come down in price. I'd say that is one of the biggest cons.

Its not a really powerful system on its own, but what it does has is decent Nintendo games. Its the opposite of the Playstation Problem. Bottom line, its a good handheld and worth the buy. If you want anything heavier performance wise, build a Gaming PC.
I own every generation of Nintendo handhelds and all but 2 of their home consoles Honestly depends but I think the steam deck is superior in all respects
Nope. If I wanted a handheld I'd get a steam deck so that I could play my huge library of games.
Don't.. it's so expensive
Regular and yup totally worth it
