his yt channel had the best content before the malicious rumour spread about him sending racist memes and making shitty excuses  i should still like to follow him but i don't wanna be someone who supports racist people and i am also worried if i am setting myself up for disappointment  what should I do? ps. not a post about amber heard. #rumours #anon1903

I would be truly to my true feelings...

there was someone, which, their artistic output I enjoyed very much, still do... and then, it happened, something came to light that was well, bad let's say (and I wasn't surprised at all either)

now, I know is not the first time it happens, that someone I "follow" turns out do something messed up and in some cases really messed up, since we're all quite far from perfect, and some are way way deep into some questionable stuff and, for the most part I am able to separate to some degree, the content from the creators, the artist from the art... the entertainment from the entertainer, and so on...

but then, I realized soon enough that now is just not the same... I can't really enjoy and truly, genuinely go into the experience without thinking about THAT, and it brings me a really bad taste most of the time and then I just go back to it less and less

tainted love...

it just is what it is...

It depends. Are the rumors against them backed up by actual facts? If not and it's all just heresy, then go right ahead. Because throwing shit on people, usually ones who don't really deserve it is kind of a trend in our toxic world. People can't see other people happy and want to nitpick at them.

Anyways, I feel like just because someone tells you to hate someone, unless you yourself don't feel the same way and you know they aren't wrong, then you shouldn't stop supporting them. Stay true to your presumption of innocence unless you're proven otherwise. Just be careful who you trust.

Dark humor is very much up my alley and appeal to (un) popularity is a very stupid fallacy. Not to mention that there are retards nowadays who think that colorblindness qualifies as racism, so I wouldn't trust some else's assertions and accusations. Also, I can separate the art from the artist pretty well. There are even musicians who called for the genocide of my ethnicity in one song, but that doesn't mean that I'm, for some stupid reason, not gonna love a different song from the same artist.

I am a supporter of the underdog usually, and against racists in all shapes and forms. The problem today is discerning facts from alternate facts or fiction, and that means evaluating the sources of said info.

If the news source is reliable and reputable, then generally I will accept the info as true and act accordingly.

The problem today with the internet and media is WHO are the RELIABLE news sources? One has to do their own research to determine who you can and will trust.

Great example is BBC USED to be a reliable news until that moron scammed Princess Diana, ultimately resulting in her death by paparazzi. Today, I do NOT consider BBC a reliable news source anymore. IMHO, The Guardian (no pun intended) is MUCH BETTER one.

Fox News is another 'alternate facts' news source that I would NEVER trust.

So in conclusion, the reliability of your news sources should guide you to the Truth and your conviction!

I think honestly I would valutate if those rumours are only rumours or are effectively true reality, since it’s nonsense to disavow a person’s work only because of a rumor. On the other hand, I’d stop following him if he is really involved in something like that, probably going against the general appearance he has had until that moment.
