What did I download?

There was some app I downloaded that has everything colored here and the colors are so vibrant and makes G@G exciting - visual-wise anyway. But I didn't think I was downloading it so didn't pay attention. Know I don't know how to fine-tune everything and can't find it anyplace. What did I download to Edge?

Anything that makes more demands on your computer's resources will tend to slow it down. You may feel the color is more valuable than the speed, so this is your decision to make. Also, there are mixed reviews on the apps functionality, so only use it when you believe it adds to your computer experience.

hmmm, this does sounds like that Windows feature and settings

that will set things up to be of high-contrast, bright AF colors...

go to Windows settings first, Ease of Access tab

I really have no specific idea as to what got loaded.

You can start by checking what extensions are running in your browser. If everything looks the same as you remember, look elsewhere. Maybe try checking the event viewer. Go go to the Start menu and type in the bar "Event Viewer". If you remember approximately when this happened, browse to that time frame and see if there is anything that looks suspicious.

Are you saying that you don't know where extensions or looked at processes?
Ok, do all sites look as if they have a dark theme or only this one?

Wait, I was looking at a question about going dark on G@G and I was looking at a site or something that said "Dark Reader" All I know is that after checking it out my screen looks a lot better and easier to read.

You know of it? How do you control the colors and that?

I used to have Dark Reader but got rid of it because it was slowing down the browser and my computer. If you want dark mode on all websites then do the following: Go to your browser, click on the address bar (Link) at the top and enter "chrome://flags" without the quotes and press enter. You will see another search box on the next screen where you can search for what are called flags. Enter the following into that search box: "Force dark mode for web contents" without the quotes. And change it from Default to Enable. Restart the browser.

No, it's great - bright with lots of vibrant colors for pinks and blues. Black background and all the profile icons are nice and bright and well defined. It's a lot easier to read text now.
