Can anyone follows you somehow find out you blocked them on your stories?

I have private account on instagram so can they search up my name and still see the yellow ring around my profile but when they go to the main page and can notice my story is not showing up? Or even if they search up my name they can’t see if I blocked them or not? Because I hid/blocked someone from my story we have zero mutual friend, and my profile is private. They texted me on instagram saying why did I hide them from my stories.. lol I haven’t replied yet but what I wonder is how did they know? Is it possible really? Because now they blocked me lol I can even see their highlights on their profile. (Oh, I don’t have any highlights so how did that person know I blocked them.. I can’t figure it out at all…)

Ehhhh I think they were already shit talking about you to someone else and they found out that way that you have been hiding them from their stories.

They could also be following you from a different account lol. Or maybe if you have highlights, they may disappear from that person when you hide them from your stories. I’ve always wondered myself
