I don't disagree that artificial wombs aren't a gilded at best, malevolent at worst invention, but no way is it the worst invention, especially in its present, limited and experimental state. They won't ever be something that people become addicted to, or inflict long term physical or psychological damage, and could provide a net benefit to some people, namely infertile mothers (to a degree). The reality though, given how the medical research industry and (western) governments are though, they would likely instead become more widespread and mandatory by de facto for women/families who want to have children but keep working while stuck in what is described as a permanent renter/working class. This will in turn be used as a means of population control. That is more the fault of people though, not the invention itself.

A much stronger argument could be made for more widespread, used by everyone technology such as social media apps, digital currency, addictive medicines or intentional or unintentional poisonous consumer goods, and my personal vote would go towards social media. While some are more addictive than others, all of them are inherently destructive to social skills and functionality, especially towards minors. They also act as a gateway into innumerable other negatives, such as brainwashing echo chambers, pornography, hate groups, cults, child grooming, drug use, etc.

I haven't watched the video but heard that it's fake a while ago.

But still the idea and technology isn't new.

One thing they like to do, is when they have some technology they wish to hide, they create fake stories and psyops of something similar but misleading to make the whole thing look too stupid.

It isn't an invention unfortunately, it is just a guy making a video. It would be a great thing if it was real, hopefully one day it will be.
