Just depends what you're into. I think apps can be really great tools, and not always harmful, they can help you be more productive, learn, &c.

I use about half of them consistently, and some of them I used to use a lot more. Like World Geography for example, I used to play it every day, maybe for 4-5 hours every week. But I haven't opened it in a while.

Clean out the phone is a task. Not filling it. Only have what you need in your life. Don't waste more time than necessary on the screen.

Reddit... its good for scrolling if u join entertaining communties

Instagram for watching reels... and following people that post stuff that u like maybe art or photography or cars or puppies or tourism etc

English to English dictionary just incase

Whisper app is good itself but people are kinda sick there... but u may find someone nice to talk n be friends... and that app has many little options

Duolingo: Learn a few bits of a language you like.

Etsy: Buy handcraft products without the middleman (I always get handwritten thank you notes from the craftman/woman which is nice

I used to love Duolingo but now it's lame. You get 5 things wrong and it takes hours and hours to fill the hearts/attempts back up. Not a good way to learn language anymore. I used to spend 30-60 minutes a day on Duolingo for free, but now they want some astronomical amount for subscription.

Yeah, it has many flaws, the sentences as well are very odd.
I'm re-learning my Irish with it and the sentence "the turtle eats the spider" keeps coming on...
WHEN THE HELL AM I GONNA USE THAT? 🤣

I was using it to learn Mandarin. And I make 5 mistakes easily within 5-10 minutes, so it wasn't working well for me once they started limiting it that much. I don't want to only spend 10 minutes a day learning, I do better with a longer session and the ability to make mistakes and learn from them.
