Do you get frustrated when trying to find out how to do something on YouTube?

I will admit I am not the smartest guy so I look stuff up on YouTube just like a lot of people. The thing that pisses me off the most is the fluff.

I don't need to know what gloves you use. What brand of tools you are using to fix said item. I only want to know how you do something nothing else. No long introduction... no long story about how much the parts cost and what not.

Why are they going into everything else except what I need to know?

Does anyone else have this problem?

often when people tell you exactly what brand they use, its a sponsorship, they get paid by that company to do exactly this.


reaching the magical number of minutes to please the algorithm

Sometimes they need to make the video x minutes long, because thats the magical number the algorithm seems to promote more.


No idea of video editing

sometimes they are just amateuers at videos and just do what they saw others do, or don't know how to plan and edit a video so they got lots of stuff, which could also be cut out.

I was trying to repair a wire feed welder at a job. No internet time was short and the customer was paying the welder and paying me to fix it. Ya I know judging by the pics and other stuff I have posted about makes the construction job hard to believe... especially my profile picture. I am naturally mechanically inclined. I did wind up going into the welder knowing nothing except what the best gloves were in the video persons perspective. It would be far better for everyone to put all the fluff in the end.. Kinda like a cotton tail rabbit.

Oh and I have a premium subscription to YouTube or it wouldn't be a viable tool used for research.
