Do you know there is a real push for AI?

Artificial intelligence should we really be dabbing into that? What your thoughts on this? When they become close to having feelings that crossing the line I think.

The problem I think we are going to have in the near future with AI is that we will not be able to tell if what we are seeing, hearing, reading is real or AI generated. AI is advancing exponentially with no controls. Even Elon Musk advocates for AI regulation. I think the majority of the population is going to be caught unaware very soon.

On the sentient question, I am pretty sure we don't want to have conscious until we have figured out how we deal with that. I mean if an AI is conscious is it moral to pull the plug?

I'm not concerned about AI mimicking "feelings." I'm far more concerned about how the inevitable dependence and blind trust put into AI technology is going to devastate humanity and make the majority of humans in developed nations obsolete.

I think you being 63 and hopefully close to if not already retired, and me in CPU design will be part of the last few who job position get replaced
