Anyone knows how to set up a server to host 1000s of website using c panel?

i am new to computing tbh i know how to host one website from my computer using ip tunneling i need to host 1000s without paying a lot i heard you can use c panel but then i need to use linux which i am still learning about. anyone here knows the cheapest way to host 1000s of websites?

thank you that helps a lot, i already installed ubuntu on my windows laptop and am in the process of getting familiar with c panel. how would you go about adding more RAM/PCU power?

As for getting more RAM and CPU power, it depends what kind of machine you're using. If it's a basic laptop it may be tough to upgrade much. A few options though:

- For RAM, see if you can pop the bottom off and install another stick if there's an empty slot. Maybe bump it up 8-16GB would help.

- An external GPU dock could let you add a better graphics card for more processing muscle. Might need good power supply too.

- Building a budget PC would give you more control over the specs. Used parts on eBay could save cash.

- Look into renting a virtual private server (VPS) - it's like your own slice of a beefy server you rent monthly. Removes the hardware limits.

Reads like you're trying to setup a fraudulent operation, kiddo. Stay clear of that shit. You may make the money, but those people aren't trustworthy and will flip you to save themselves.

Anyway, in the off chance you are not, you will need to lease server space as the cost will not be worth doing it yourself. - unless you have thousands in cash sitting, or have willing customers looking to take up those sites quick.

The main bottleneck is the bandwidth. Even if you have a full server, it will be useless unless you have a Gigabit connection to serve those websites. Hence why its cheaper to lease than buy.

@Oliverlogan263 has good advice. I was going to just tell you the same thing. To be successful you need to make sure your server has on eof their suggested versions of UNIX, I use Ubuntu so i am a irrle familiar with that, and it has enough ram. They have suggested specs on their website.

You should have a registered domain as well.

ok well i decided to purchase a vps now as its cheaper and easier but i am not so sure how to run the vps on ubuntu.

Hosting websites on your machine is a lot of responsibility and work. There is a reason why most people use a cloud instance for it now.
