Have you ever replaced your phone's battery?

How old was your phone? I'm just wondering if it's worth it to replace a phone's battery rather than just buying a new one.

I have done this a few times. I used to have an ancient flip phone. When it was about 15 years old I went to the Verizon store to get a new battery and the guy laughed at me and could not believe I was still using it. Needless to say there were no more batteries for that phone and I had to get a new one.

I didn't think you could change the battery in a smartphone. I use flip phones, and I can change the batteries in them. But I never do, because by the time the battery is dead I need a new phone for some other reason.

I use most of the electronics until the very end, what means changing laptop or phone batteries is something I do regulary. I travel a lot, so good working batteries are crucial for me as not everywhere I can just recharge my stuff

No, and I never would. I never spend more than $50 on a phone, and they last me for years anyway.

Not recently, my phone is only 2 years old. Before this phone, though, I had a Samsung Galaxy S5 for 8 years. I really liked the phone, so when the battery started not keeping a charge after 5 years, I bought a battery online and replaced it.

No but the phone I have was made in like 2015 & the person I bought it from back in 2019 or 2020 had recently changed the battery. It's been pushing on fine since.

I have an android so it used to be very easy to pop the case off and do it yourself. I would do it whenever I liked the phone but nowadays you can't do it so simply so I don't.

You better get a new battery New IPhones that are not locked are very expensive

My 2016 iPhone SE 1st Gen still has 92% on the original battery.
