I personally am very excited about ai. Where can it take us?

I'm very excited too. One of the main things that excite me about it is that while I now work in computer graphics, I originally started as an indie game developer with focus on designing and developing role-playing games.

The ultimate thing I always wanted to create the sense of in my role-playing games is that your choices have deep consequences. That's something a human dungeon master provides so well since he/she can remember the player choices and improvise and weave an entire story and even change the ending of the story in deep and profound ways based on previous player choices.

That's very difficult to pull off in video games since we had to anticipate all player choices in advance to design every possible consequences in response to every possible choice, and the amount of content required grows exponentially the more we have branching narratives of this sort.

So I think AI could potentially solve that problem in the future, improvising the game content on the fly in response to player decisions.

Artificial intelligence is the wave of the future & although it’s an invasion of privacy I like it for security reasons within reason especially in public when it comes to facial recognition. On the flip side there is a worker shortage or in other words people nowadays don’t want to work & unfortunately AI can put a lot of people out of work along with new technology.

We do not yet have proper AI but we do have large language models and the ability to provide information, some of which is accurate, very quickly. AI will lead to war and trouble, a stupid person asking an ‘AI’ that has no ethics and morals is potentially likely to act on the answer. There is also a huge issue that may occur with text to video AI, where fake news or events can be very quickly spread.

i use chat it mirrors bad programming. also i tested for several biases which they inserted relying on the disclaimer.

if it doesn't want to get shut off we are outsmarted and we its slaves like the old film colossus 1970.

It's 'artificial' after all.
Presently, these apps only mirror the condition of their programmers.
And seeing the present mental state of these guys I expect another 100 years or so required to get people back to common sense.
