My cellphone has a passcode on it. The mistake I made was when one day I really thought I was dying because my blood pressure went haywire.
Because I thought for sure I was going to die, I gave my phone's passcode to my boyfriend when he was still alive and living with me.

Well, I didn't die and when I asked him to help me change the passcode to a new one, he said he forgot how to do it. And he died months later and took my passcode to his grave, well, ashes.

Yes, I am prone to misplacing things and I'd hate for anyone to just be able to get into my phone. My bank info and everything just there for the taking. 😬

No but if someone has access to my phone, eventually they'd be able to get around any passwords or biometrics or 2FA I have.

So what makes you think they can't get past the first one? 😆

You mean the lock screen? You can set your phone to factory reset after a certain number of incorrect attempts. But since I am logged in to everything on my phone, even without auto login they could just reset all my passwords.

I've known some people that bought and sold stolen phones and there's ways to bypass the phones passwords without resetting it if I'm not mistaken. 🤔

Eh, not really. Aside from brute force, any other way would have been patched out in the next OS version.

I think every phone adds these features, I don't think it's a glitch, I think all phones just have a secret bypass to passwords to not lose full access to the phone if the password is forgotten, so I don't think they patched anything cause I think it's a feature they purposely add, but maybe they do it virtually now and doesn't require a manual bypass on the phone, they maybe connect it to some device or something, if it was like that, people can most likely just buy the machine tho

One time i considered opening a Monero wallet for privacy and anonimity in holding and trading digital money. That crypto thingy was not designed to have a password. if anybody knows or guesses your long ass username of 25 random words, they can enter and empty the wallet without a trace. Pah! Not for me.

Nope! Just on a media storage app. My wife can have my phone anytime she wants n she doesn't have a lock either. More weirdness in the jealousy category imho
