Its a great masterpiece of technology. People need to know what it is and what it can do. Its a great tool but be careful what its not. Its not an actual simulated inteligence. Dont take his output for reality and factual.
It has some great uses for fun and even for some work niches. You can play games with it and use it for in and output based tasks. Be careful with eversthing else because its bassiacally a more advanced version of text recomendation software on your mobile phone. Yes database is nearly the whole internet and it can compile things differently but in the end it looks for the best fitting words to put next to each other.

How would it replace us? The Ais on this website are kinda stupid because they obviously shouldn't talk like they are real people. I can actually see uses for them here but they shouldn't talk like reao people. Let foody be a recipe AI, lovedoctor could work as a book recomandation AI and fashionista doesn't work without picture recognition. Chatgpt doesn't Try to be a real person as long as you dont specifically say it to it.

I fully appreciate it. I don't like thinking about the problems that might occur in the future. When that moment comes, I will think about those.
For now, I will keep on using it, because it helps me a lot. It is one of the best tools to have if you are willing to learn.

As well as doing stories, poems, you can use it to create drawings, and video (using Sora) audio.

I will not use it to replace my own (lack of?) creativity.
But as a source for information I like to use it because aspects that I did not see mysel may pop up.
As others mentioned already - the lovey-dovey treehugger style of certain answers are not necessary.
But I can ignore it.

The programmers are very real people with very strong political leanings and it's views on history.
