You know, some say that the nuclear bomb is a good invention, because it made humanity realize how frail we can be, and to think twice before taking action. It's interesting that the bomb has only been used as a weapon twice, and not for the past 79 years.
Plastics are more harmful to health and the environment. Plastics get my vote for the worst invention.

The other side of the nuclear bomb is that we developed nuclear power, right? That's a pretty big plus, in my opinion.
As for my pick. I'd have to go with single use plastic packaging.

  Yeah especially because we can use biodegradable plastics now but I think it’s more expensive. I see your point on “the other side” but unfortunately nuclear bombs have been massed produced and there’s enough to destroy the world.
