Do you still have a landline phone at your house? If so, what's the reason for having one?

I have sometimes on-call service and landline is obligatory for me, cell phone is just an addition. However security reasons like it was years back don't really make any difference since all landlines phones in my country run by VoiceOverIP and glass fiber lines similar to all cell phone providers.

Our home is only 8 years old and it's never had a landline in it. My parents still have a landline in their home and both have iphones as well. Mom says she likes talking to her friends from that phone because she hears better and it's more comfortable to hold for long hour or better calls.😃

Yes, we still have one in case of emergency if cell phone service breaks down. We have an old fax machine connected to it.
I don't think digital technology is reliable. It is vulnerable to glitches, hacks and EMP attacks.

Yes, cell phone reception is so bad its the only way to make a phone call.

Absolutely right we do, especially considering it comes free within our WiFi/Internet package.

It is maybe 4ish years old, so we never even had it hard wired for a landline.
