It’s a little outdated but it depends on what you plan to use it for. I know Apple has a tendency to stop supporting certain generations as the newer generations come out so if you need the phone for work, and everyday living I would get a newer model. If you just want to experience iPhone the 6 is fine but will have different features than the new one
Yes, an iPhone 6 is fine. My first iPhone was an iPhone 5C.
