Do you still watch television on an actual smart TV? Do you think TV sets are fading away for most people?

I still love my two year old cheap and cheerful Chinese smart TV. I knew it when I bought it. HD, simple, smart. Nowhere near 4K resolution and that's why I bought it. While they still exist/existed. Thoughts?

@NathanDavis I enjoy free channels here in my country channels are legally free. With a antenna or aerial like a 📡 type thing. Anyways. On home roofs. Anyways + however I do watch streaming. Not a lot. Yet some. Sometimes I come back, sometimes I delete them. Become pricey. And gratefully the companies aren't strict in saying "you can only come once" get it. 😆

I don't know TV works in Australia, but... on this side of the globe... TV is 96% commercials and ads

and you can't skip them either...

I embrace the commercials or go to the bathroom aka the toilet 🪠 - embrace it Nathan. That's the thing with people today ; they just need to be more calmer and more accepting that "it can't always be on demand or perfect" + and it's only seconds to minutes 🙃💭

Nearly all TV's are Chinese made, kiddo. The only exceptions are Samsung and LG, as they are South Korean made - but only the higher range models. The lower ranges are made in China.

As for watching TV, I have four TV's and rarely watch TV in any of them. Mostly it's PC work, or the occasional football match.

Do you sometimes dust off the flat screen TV? For the same reasons as you say, I also do that mainly, yet I still love having bought a TV in 2022, ironically a Smart one, which didn't matter to me then or now, but wow. But I'm no stranger lady to what you do. I do that too and have done that too - nostalgic YouTube. Nostalgic other videos but this isn't the right category to mention, uhh, that website or two.

@EmmaMary I'm very heart warmed to hear that Emma Mary. I'm glad I'm not the only one. That doesn't mean I don't stream from time to time. I do. And have streamed even when I was 28 in 2022 or 26 in 2020 (Covid) lockdown. I always like being a mixture of old fashioned modern - that's probably the best way to live a life if we gel similarly lady @EmmaMary without making "that a thing in itself" to insist on. "I always have to be 50 50" doesn't sound cool either as it's then a dogma after a while lol 😆 to fall down a rabbit hole into.
