Yes and no. Drug trade and other dark web goods will upkeep its price until a better alternative comes around.
Just be sure to buy low and sell high. There isn't enough money on the market when BC has a "bank run" and the last ones are left with the short stick.
Bitcoin, like any new commodity, is a new risk.
You have people who make good money from it, and bad money from it. The important thing is that you understand the risks.
