How do you tell if someone used a filter or AI to change something in their picture?

Most people use filters; they are a standard tool in phones these days. In some cases, the filter is set by default. I know in my phone I had to disable it.

I saw on youtube that you can use filters in videos now too. I have never used FaceTime. Everyone I meet online lives too far away to meet them in person.
