Should I trade my iPhone for iPhone 16 plus or worth the wait for new iPhone 17?

I can save a little more with iPhone 16 plus. I was thinking of doing it today, or should I wait for iphone 17?

Honestly , if the company I work for didn’t buy me a new iPhone every year I would change my phone only out of necessity. Haven’t bought a phone since the iPhone 3 and even that was refurbished and second hand. A waste of money and rarely an investment.
Buying a new model of phone as soon as it comes out is foolish , what’s the advantage? Bragging rights?
My advice , stay 2 - 3 generations behind the curve and never buy retail.

Apparently iPhone 17 is out in a few days, I'd wait and buy that one.

I'm sure you could receive a bargain price for iPhone 16, and it's not much different, but I always go for the more up to date mobile.

A female I was friendly with had a Samsung, so I bought the latest of the similar mobile, and we now have both updated the same mobile. I don't think there's much difference between iPhone and Samsung.

No I don’t have that phone yet. I still have the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I just learned to never trade your iPhone in because they hold you hostage AT&T and you have to pay a lot of money to get released by them. They hold you hostage for life unless you pay the phone completely off so it’s not worth the trade in if you wanna go to a cheaper carrier Like consumer cellular for example
