Do you use AI tools to improve your day to day life activities?

I have started using copilot to work with Notion and become better with AI prompt engineering to get exactly the response I want

Nope. I've tried it for a few simple tasks, and it always fails (and no amount of additional prompts has ever helped).

For example:
I recently acquired some reclaimed oak flooring, with boards of various different lengths. Now, when you lay flooring, it's important that you arrange the boards randomly (avoiding any kind of regular pattern), and that no join between boards is too close to a join on a neighbouring row (it makes the floor structurally weaker).
You'd think I would be able to give the dimensions of my room, and an inventory of my boards (how many I have of each length), and an AI would be able to generate a layout for me to use. Ideally, it would even minimize the amount of wastage caused by sawing of boards.
But no, none of the AIs that I tried could do it. Not ChatGPT, not Gemini, not DeepSeek.

Another example:
I recently saw some stats about the NFL. Specifically, it was a list of the last time each team had beaten a team during the regular season, who would then go on to win the Super Bowl that same season - only the contributor had compiled it by hand, and made some mistakes.
It seemed like the kind of thing that AI would be perfect for, but no... The AIs were all capable of obtaining the necessary raw data, including the results of every NFL game from the regular- and post-season, going back many years, but none of them could correctly analyze it.

Nah, I sometimes ask AI some questions, just for fun, I usually already know the answers.

None whatsoever. I am totally against technology and AI. When I answer a question, I type each letter on an old notebook. There is no grammar check or AI installed.

I may be a bit old fashioned but I only shake my head when I see some of the answers here on G@G when people rely on the AI and speech-to-text replies which makes so many mistakes such as "we're" instead of "where" and the like.

Society is becoming stupid and I am worried for the future. Will future doctors rely on AI to write their thesis and then need computers and videos to teach them how to perform an open heart surgery?
