There may be something to this. Women live their entire lives being judged by their appearance so they learn to always maximize how people view them. Men on the other hand generally have no clue. So when taking a picture they do not know how to pose, use light and so on. Good side? What the hell is that? lol

Most people, male or female, take unflattering photos of themselves. It's just incredibly difficult to get it right, especially with selfies.

Nope. And if anything, I feel like they’d put more effort into their appearance during a photo than they do in their everyday life.
