Are men the overall better looking gender?

I'm not homo or bi sexual, but I see all the work and make up girls go through to look good for guys or themselves in general. I'm not saying that there's not any beautiful girls who don't wear makeup. It seems that a majority of girls wear makeup and don't look too great without it. I don't ever really see guys wearing makeup, excluding all the 70s and 80s hair bands. So are men the overall better looking gender?

Makeup is an asset...to me at least.

It isn't what we always wore.

back in the day...they were pretty bitches without that crap.

I must admit. I love makeup. but I would say I look much better with it imo, but I wouldn't say I look horrible without it.

I wear no makeup to sleep.

I wear no makeup in my house.

I wear no makeup in the shower.

I wear no makeup to the grocery store.

I wear makeup to parties.

I wear makeup to weddings.

I wear some makeup to school, malls, family events etc.

People think girls who were it are insecure. I am not. I just love makeup. It is a passion for me. I wear it to add fun to my dull looks. This is a pic of me last month in the car without makeup. I rarely take pictures without makeup...because...it looks lame. I happend to find this one. It is sucky quality.

In the makeup pic.I got the whole cake face on. Foudation, mascara, lipstick, lipgloss, eyeliner, concealer, etc.

My point is..Imo..makeup makes me feel cooler and look more mature and flashy. I feel like WOO with it...I feel more like Meh without it.

I mean it's fine to go to a grocery store like that...but to a wedding..I wouldn't...why? because I personally see myself as looking vibrant with that "crap" on my face. Some people may hate makeup...but I wear it because I love it. I love all the aspects of it. The art, the concealing, the vibrance it makes my face look like...etc... (But It does add a good 5 years to my appearance depending on how much I wear)

I like how I can have a black eye..and no one will ever know.

Anyway to answer you question, girls have more features they can pull off than guys...these features makes them more attractive imo. I am not homo/bi sexual at all.

Woah, that was a long read. Okay, well you said it it's a concearler, to me one of the only thing it conceals SOMETIMES is a girls true face and facial features. Haha Like most people said though, we're used to seeing girls with makeup that when they don't have makeup we think they look weird as to if we were to see them everyday without makeup then we would PROBABLY think they look weird.

Imo, concealer removes bags under my eyes.

I mean I see some pretty girls without it everyday...but I won't lie...I see the bags under thier eyes..the dullness from no mascara and etc..or acne scars...but it's fine. Because I am used to seeing her like that. Not looking any better. Imo..if she handled the stuff with makeup..it can make her look way better. But it plays tricks on us. It is fine to look good with or without it. But not looking like who you were with it is a problem.

makeup creates an expectation, as does media and other forms of art. we have altered and literally constructed what the most beautiful women look like. even extremely beautiful women have MAJOR alterations made to their images for photo shoots.

so we expect women to look a certain way, which is generally: hairless, perfect hair, light, young, etc.

with expectations, you get let down easily when people don't meet those expectations. and with the constant emphasis on women being beautiful and fitting really unrealistic standards, I'm not surprised if you're constantly let down.

you know there was an evolutionary study done on humans I think by a japanese evolutionist and they found that women are becoming prettier over a long span of time and men are staying their caveman ways...google it...i thought it was interesting especially since I studied biology in college they even supported the theory with darwinism and one of the reasons they claimed evolution was happening was that because there are more females than males in the human population and in order to snag a 'husband' a woman was evolving to become prettier

yeap! evolution is really interesting if you look into it...a lot of animals evolve to develop unique traits to adapt to their environment, similarly humans have evolved in amazing ways as well from the primates and evolution will continue to go on as long as earth exists

oh but I don't think its necessarily survival of the fittest...its more about attracting mates and making the human species prosper as it always has...if women don't find mates how will they make kids? the human species would die down (over time)

Don't forget the death rate has increased too and people die at an earlier age now...especially in America with heart disease there's lots of factors that contribute to population studies and evolution overall not just for humans but animals and other species too

No offense to you, but I don't really care that I'm wrong at a biological level. I don't think that humans need to reproduce anymore, like you said I can be completely wrong but that's a personal opinion. We have a hard time feeding, clothing, and taking care of all the humans we have here right now. I doubt we need to add more. Also look at all the other species that are over reproducing like hogs and deers etc. You're right about the human race needing both to survive.

I think if people weren't used to seeing girls WITH make-up on, girls wouldn't look bad without it. I'm not saying they DO look bad without it, haha, but we wouldn't make the comparison so much if make-up wasn't the norm. Don't know if that makes sense...

Yes, I think so. Most women that use makeup are already pretty in their natural skin. The use of makeup only enhances the features. Makeup itself can ruin the face and skin if used for long periods of time. Makeup alone does not make someone more pretty, which is why some girls who are already not as attractive are still not as attractive even with makeup on.

Even though for art related stuff I always draw men. I think females are generally more aesthetically pleasing, most men that are described as beautiful look like girls or could pass for one anyway. That's how I see it.

12 year olds find him beautiful and he does look like a girl. I said most men. Not all beautiful men look like girls, men with beautiful bodies are generally chiseled. Men with beautiful faces generally have girl-ish features. Justin Beiber isn't ugly, people just hate his guts.
