It seems like everyone has doorbell cameras and dashcams these days. Some people go all out with cameras all around their property, inside and outside. One of my favorite video genres is wild things caught on such cameras. Paranormal, porch pirates, police chases and instant karma traffic fiascos. The list goes on. I’ve seen some wild things in person, but i’ve never recorded anything. What about you? What is the wildest thing you’ve caught on your dashcam or security cameras?

What’s the wildest thing you’ve captured on your security cameras?
My parents came to stay with me. My mom cannot figure out any type of tech to save her life. I walked her through the security system the night before which is armed every night, left her all the codes. Next morning, she attempted to take a walk and set off the alarm. I had had a really rough night struggling to sleep so I was so dead asleep. I never even heard the alarm go off. Apparently my dad had managed to turn it off. I eventually wake up and I'm checking my phone and see all these alerts there is movement in the yard. I turn on the cameras and there is an armed police officer, gun out, walking slowly around my backyard, and garage, trying to look inside. I had to wait until he came back around the front because uh, opening the door and startling an armed police officer would probably be a very VERY bad idea. He then tells me how the alarm was triggered and no one answered the call from the alarm company, so he'd been sent out. Literally all my mom had to do if she didn't want to use the codes was turn off the thing from the app. I was so embarrassed this poor guy had to come out, but whatever, better safe than sorry.
