Go For iPhone or De-Googled Android For Personal Use?

For business use, I'd go with iPhone all the way, but for personal use I don't know yet. Sick of using Android because every phone I use has QC issues either from the start or after 2-3 years. Google is doubling down making Android resemble iOS without the benefits, so might as well make the switch. If I have to buy flagship or Pixel phones to not have a shitty Android experience, I'd rather use that money for Apple. I still do care about customizing but only for stationary devices, not mobile.

Google and other Android vendors are increasingly making it harder to even access the bootloader, which is necessary to install a custom ROM; meanwhile many app devs are making their shit less compatible with de-Googled Android

I don't know how you could “de-Google” and Android phone, it's integrated into they entire system. You can take the google. com page off of it or disable Google apps, but Google is still capturing everything you do. That's like saying you're going to de-Apple an iPhone.

I've done that before with XiaoMi, so I write from experience
