How depleted does your cell phone battery have to be in terms of percentage before you recharge it?

I commute 32 miles a way to work so my car keeps it charged quite often.. I pretty much never have to charge it outside of that

Actually, the phone is supposed to sort of beep and make noises at you when the battery gets really low. Mine does that. Doesn't yours?

It usually dies before I recharge it. It beeps at 20, 15 and 10% but I pretty much ignore it.

I recharge it nightly. Newer devices are pretty smart about preserving battery life.
