Did you know AI can be made to lie?

What is included in AI is based on research on the internet, facts, and information and data that it has been fed. So in effect, AI can produce lies it has been given.
Is this why Trump was so adamant and signed a bill to have AI with us for at least the next 10 years?

Well it's not technically lying if the non factual information it spits out was not the result of a conscious decision to deceive. AI isn't conscious. It's a dumb algorithm. It has no sense of right and wrong or morality and ethics. AI just spits out information based on the data it has been given and an algorithm. It doesn't know or care if the information is a lie or the truth. It's basically a silicon Sociopath / Psychopath.

Interesting question, but I guess you're aware that Mr Trump is not the only one to take into consideration the use of A. I. This will certainly lead to a situation similar to computer viruses fighting each other.

AI gets its data from millions of internet sources, but doesn't check if the info is correct. So it will learn bad habits if let on its own.

Back in the 1970's I had to write a thesis icw a project about Artificially Produced Sustaining Intelligence (APSI). My thesis basically tore the APSI concept to ribbons, that man must remain in control over the AI, not the other way around. Ai does not have "judgment", and can only parrot whatever algorithm has been programmed into it. I use it as a sorting tool, nothing more. I arrive at my own conclusions.
