How do I fix contacts not syncing or saving on my Android phone?

I’m having trouble managing my contacts. I can’t delete numbers from my SIM card, and the import/export function isn’t working properly. I also can’t save contacts to my phone. My Google account shows that my contacts are backed up, but I can’t restore or import them to my phone. How can I fix this issue?

I would not know the exact way to fix the specific issue, but maybe you could try a few things and it might help

first... make double sure that your phone, and all apps are up to date, that's very important nowadays, and if lucky, it could fix the temporary bug

I don't think I've ever imported/exported Contacts, what I always do is to "sync contacts" which usually requires Gmail accounts, so make triple sure yours is actually working, and in sync, too... maybe the settings are off... or even, although it is rare, your Gmail might be stuffed with spam, pictures and videos, and there's simply no space left, or way too much clutter in your Cloud

and also... try to find the option for "Restore" contacts, which should do so from the Cloud, and not an export/import as a file, which I assume that's how it works

They should be on the cloud at contacts. google. com.
If you are logged into your Google account on your Android phone, then they should automatically sync.
