progress as in... going forward in a better way too

personally... I've had that because of the internet, with my friends and family...

some of my best and close friends, are globe-trotters by trade, passion and conviction and/or just moved to other parts of this world... but we have never lost contact because of the internet... we still meet in person enough times from time to time... but everything in between, we do it through the cyberwebs so to me... that's the best thing about the internet

another key aspect for me... it's access to information and knowledge, both... although there's a whole lot of stupidity and nonsense, misinformation and pretty much a whole lot of bullshit, and... it's also more difficult to distill and differentiate every single day... I am still able to do that, and seek that, and use that... for the better (mostly for the better lmfao)

oh... and entertainment, the internet can keep me entertained and sane... because there's a part of my brain that's just so chaotic and hyper and incredibly WTF is going on all the time... so, for sure... there's this thing about the internet than can neutralize that and sort of divert, into streams that are more manageable...

There are at least 2 types of misunderstanding going on about Wikipedia. One is about how it was heavily vandalized in the past, before they set up bots to counter the silliest pranksters. The other is usually ideological, and we kind of get the idea who is getting mad with it lol
