@GirlsAskGuys won't do shit about it because they go inactive after it. This site is a dumpster hole and not worth it. Next fresh semester, I’m leaving once I have correspondence from the few I talk to. sorry @SueShe 😭

At this point I might say Facebook. It's pretty much old school now and has always been kind of ghetto. I might also lean towards Reddit too, plus the moderation on there is absolutely insane. They will flag almost anything you post in an instant because it doesn't meet all the heavy rules somebody set up for a r/ channel.

I don't know, man. I deleted all my social media back in March and life has felt a lot better without it honestly. I kinda think if you're not running a business, there's not really any point to it other than to waste your days scrolling through things you never even needed to spend time on. The only things I still use are this and Quora from time to time but I don't really consider these sites social media. They're just traditional online forums.

For the first time in a long time, I've been able to focus on reaching some of my goals and working on them consistently since giving up social media. All those platform creators tell us the lie of "staying connected" but we really aren't. Most of the people we follow don't even talk to us and we don't talk to them either. I just got fed up with it all and let go.

I agree with this. I think TikTok can be great for trying to advertise your business or side hustle, and it often does have really good motivational content from those kinds of creators, but a lot of TikTok is garbage and full of lies, conspiracy garbage, and fake posts.

It used to be amazing for film news, festival coverage, and live award-show reactions. Now it’s mostly chaos, bots, rage bait, and low-effort reposted content. The signal-to-noise ratio is terrible. I still check it during Cannes or the Oscars, but honestly, I could live perfectly fine without it.
