How long can you stay unconnected to internet?

I saw this sign in a bar in a shopping mall where internet connection is very bad. Instead of providing a wifi connection, the sign reads : "We don't have wifi, but we do have beer. Beer makes communication easier."

I had a summer house on an island and had no internet. It never really bothered me. I used to get DVDs from Netflix that came through the mail

In the weekends, I just switch off my phone when I'm with my family. I don't care who calls, the world won't stop turning.
