I'm in Santa Barbara. I used to work in Fremont, down off the A Street exit, and my grandmother lived in Newark for something like 70 years. She just said goodbye to her home and moved to Wyoming last week.

I'm curious what you find to be fun about Fremont? I'm kind of a country boy and the "big city" fun has always kind of eluded me. I feel like everyone is a stranger and no one seems interested in interacting unless they are trying to sell you something, beg for money, or otherwise gain something from you.

So you're in Fremont, CA huh? I got stuck there overnight once when I was 20 years old and my car needed repair. But I remember the next day after getting my car fixed, I drove down the coast and it was a beautiful drive.

I'm in a speed bump of a town in MO. I won't say which one, but I'm a short drive from one place made infamous by a fairly recent slanderous Netflix show and another town that was the inspiration for Hooterville, for those familiar with Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.
